My work exists in a state of duality, a push a pull, a back and forth, even good and evil. There is often a sense of all is not as it seems. This duality is also present through the layers used to construct the images. These elements of binary opposition are essential to the fundamental intent and effect. The reconciliation comes from building a unity of references, form, processes and materials. I have found printmaking to be a very suitable medium to express my imagery, particularly monotypes/monoprints.
